Usually the lights on a wheel ride like that show up really well. I miss the fairs. As a kid I was very active in 4-H and FFA and most of my good memories are from the fair. Nice Image

Nice shot Neva! Its been quite awhile for me too...I 've wanted to go on a really big roller coaster-forever, but anyone I've gone with-didn't want to...you have to have friend so you can scream together! ;D

Cool photo Neva! Yes, photos like this really bring back the memories. All summer long, we kids would talk about the fair and what rides we were going on. I don't really go much now, around here they've become very commercialized and horribly expensive.

I don't really go much now, around here they've become very commercialized and horribly expensive. I think that is the way they are all going these days. Its been a long time since I've gone to the fair and actually gone in to where the rides are. I've looked at the exhibits for the past few years, but that's about all I can stand. I do like the ferris wheel picture...I think that is about the most recognizable sign of a fair. Nice capture as well with the not quite dark sky.

I remember the 4 of us kids being all excited, talking about the rides we wanted to go on, and the special corn dogs you could only get during the fair, and all the other stuff we were going to do; but like so many others, it was all forgotten as soon as we hit the gate!
I think if I were going to put together photos of what the fair represents, I would have a photo of the Ferris Wheel, the Cotton Candy vendor, and the three milk bottles stacked up with a carney in a striped vest standing in the booth next to them, holding the baseball in his hand making promises of great prizes if you knock the milk bottles over.....
Thanks for the comments!
