I know most of you've seen this one I posted a while back on "another" board. But hey, like Greg says, lets see some moving water. This is Multnomah Falls, located on Hwy 84 in northern Oregon. It's very pretty as you can see, hopefully I'll get back to re-shoot this sometime this fall. (get it? this "fall".. okay sorry) The original photo was in jpeg but the exposure & WB was pretty accurate being as I had plenty of time to meter. One nice thing about waterfalls is that they don't get impatient, tired, bored, hungry, or need the restroom. They just sit there, being waterfalls, waiting for you to photograph them. It was also raining that day, and I had some drops of rain on my UV filter which didn't show up in the viewfinder. Instead, the drops chose to show up right later in post-process, one of which was right in the middle of the top of the fall. More post processing. Anyway, this is the finished version. Here's a link if it's not showing up; spiritsgate.smugmug.com/photos/366381377_anhwU-L.jpgNikon D70 w/kit lens, f/?, about 1-1/2 seconds

Hey Flop, I think you edited too much of the rain drop out...can't see the waterfall now.
OK, I don't think that it is your post causing me problems. I think that smugmug is blocked through our surf control here at work. I doesn't even give me a red x. I went in to see how you posted and realized the problem. I'll give it a look when I get home tonight.

I like this image flop. the flow, the waterfall in the back, and the bridge just really tie everything together.

OK, I remember this waterfall now. that bridge is awesome and provides the perfect visual anchor. I usually don't care for manmade elements in my waterfalls, but in this case it is not only a nice touch, it makes the whole image.

Both John and Greg said it already and I agree whole heartedly! A very lovely scene...

Glad you reposted that shot here, Steve. That's an amazing image. It's so beautifully lighted and composed, it almost looks like a miniature scene.
Was that scene just sheltered from the sunlight, or was the day rainy or overcast?
