I shot this today on ISO 3200. I can see some noise, but not much. Any thoughts?

not bad at all, how bad was the light? That D300s might be worth the cost for me to upgrade after all lol. still like to go a little bigger though D700 maybe. when I win the lottery that I never play!!!

That is amazing!!!! It looks great and will do wonders for those that like to handhold. I've never been above 800 on mine as that usually suffices for portraiture. It is safe to say that digital has surpassed film when it comes to fast and fine grain.

Yep, I'm pretty stoked about it. This is the first digital camera I've had that actually did well in high ISO. The D200 was great at ISO 200, 400 was okay, 640 was noisy but usable, 800 was used only when desparate, over 800 useless. I'd use Noise Ninja which worked well but not perfect and sometimes flattened the image. Plus, there's just something wrong with needing a plug-in just to make an image look like it's supposed to.
