Stock agency -- very interesting. I totally agree with Scott, the creativity is gone. They want perfect, setup shots of what the market is selling today and want if for as little as possible.

Scott makes some excellent points. One might even go as far as to plainly say that Stock agencies have simply found ways to exploit the skills of experienced photographers, and the zeal of up-and-coming's.

As Chase says in another blog. He stopped contributing to stock agencies, not because most of his images do not qualify, but because the images they want are not what has been selling him. If you know anything about Chase Jarvis you know he shoots for clients like Rebok, Mountain Dew, San Disk, etc, etc,etc. Most of the shots I see from him seem to dwell some where between extreme sports and nature. All grab the attention of the viewer and very few are spot on perfect (photo stock wise). Thats what sets him apart and keeps the big money coming in.
