Nice project Steve. are you going to do a cyclorama? Thanks John Maybe not a cyclorama per say, but I've outfitted it with a digital projector and surround sound for previews, slide shows, etc. It's just long enough to situate the projector such that the image fills the back wall. (photos to come) This is a cool presentation tool which will allow the studio to double as a mini theater.

This is very nice Steve. I've thought about doing something similar to have a studio of sorts, but haven't really decided if it will be worth it to me in the long run yet.

Thanks Greg. Hopefully it will pay for itself sooner or later. I don't mind paying out the extra $$'s as long as it gets used which I think it will.

"Additional garage?" Is this someone's garage or is it a storage unit?
I'd considered using a storage unit as a low-rent studio, but the limited hours made it untenable.

We live in an apartment and this is one of the garages they rent out. They're single-car garages but most people use them for storage. When we moved here, I rented one to work in but that one became storage for kayaks and boxes of stuff we don't need.(you know you don't need something when it's sat in a box for nearly 4 years and you've long forgotten you even own it, but it's fun to pay storage rent on anyway) So, I broke down and rented another to photograph in. They're not too roomy but enough to shoot some single/couple portraits, still-life, products etc. Hopefully it'll pay off, my wife has a shoot scheduled Saturday and another Sunday which will pay this month's rent and then some.

I once shot the soccer model on a motorcycle in an 8'x12' dining room, so you should be able to do plenty in there.
You have it lined with white drywall, which will do very nicely for lots of looks. Have you thought about a way to convert the space to all black for low-key looks?
