Here'a a link to company newly commissioned by Polaroid to re-launch some of their instant cameras and film. There's so many interesting and exciting things to do in photography these days, I almost hate to go to work in the morning. ;D www.the-impossible-project.com

It wouldn't surprise me if they managed to maintain a niche market. There's a lot of sentimentality in the Polaroid bunch.

Yeah polaroid had a pretty strong following for a long time. The very first picture I ever took was on a polaroid. the pictures had to be instant cause she did not want anyone else to see the pictures

Polaroid is great for police work too. I loved being able to snap the picture, and turn it right into evidence. Now we have to send a disk to evidence to have them print it, send it back to me so I can turn it back into them as a print. Its a pain in the butt.

My first camera was an old Kodak Brownie hand-me-down, but my first new camera was a Polaroid Pronto SX-70. Sweet! It came with a pack of film (10 photos). I spent the entire weekend trying to decide what subjects to use-up my ten photos on.
