My sister brought her "just in case" case to the wedding last week. In the case was a little AAA-battery-powered wireless slave strobe. It's the Morris Mini Slave Wide. It's the size of a tennis ball. It's got an indentation on the base so it can rest at a 45-degree angle. It's a powerful little thing, considering it runs off two triple-A batteries and does a generally good job of slaving. I took it to my shoot today and it came in handy as the fourth strobe. They cost $89 apiece, but they've got other models that cost much less. I wouldn't mind having two or three in my kit. www.themorriscompany.com/products.html

That would be something good to have, maybe a couple or so to fill. Do they only rest like in the photo, or do they have the 1/4-20 thread?

The model shown doesn't have any mounting hardware, but they're light enough that they'll hold up with adhesive-backed Velcro.
I didn't look at the rest of their lights, but some of them might be mountable.
