I have just finished a tutorial on photographing waterfalls in my Photo Trek Journal. I figured that since this board is dealing specifically with waterfalls I might as well post a link to it here. I won't copy and paste into the thread because it is a tad too long to fit here. Hey, what can I say? There is a lot to photographing a waterfall. phototrek.446photography.com/2009/09/27/tips-and-tricks-how-to-photograph-waterfalls.aspxThere is a homework assigment if you care to participate. You can post your pictures either in this thread, or start your own. Even if you don't post a picture, get out and try these techniques...you might just like it.

Excellent tutorial Greg! Maybe someday you might consider a printer-friendly version, maybe something like a field guide or a cheat card that can be printed and placed in a camera bag pouch. (?) A .pdf file would probably work nicely. It's food for thought....

Thanks guys! I will give some thought to doing a slightly different version to serve as a field guide. There is a lot of information here that isn't really needed in the field, so the pertinent information might fit on a manageable card.
Ideally I would love to do a photo techniques book, but I keep getting the same answer everytime I ask a publisher about doing any book..."We already have an author that does that, and we don't want to compete with him". I've done a little bit of looking into doing a self published book but am not sure how I would distribute it...or fund it for that matter.

Since this is the waterfall forum, I am going to sticky this so that anyone wanting to participate here can have easy access to a how-to.
