Posting to the CalendarPlease note: These guidelines will be a work-in-progress. Feel free to post questions or suggestions and we'll update this list. Initially, let's keep the calendar entries confined to announcing upcoming special or unusual photo-opportunities: - Personal firsts ("My First Studio Shoot," "My First Yearbook Cattle-Call," etc)
- Special travel ("Going to The Big Apple," "Driving to the Grand Canyon," etc)
Maybe we could even allow registered users to announce their birthdays. Then we can say Happy B-Day to them as their day rolls around. But it probably wouldn't be a good idea to use the calendar to announce the birthdays of family members. When posting calendar entries: - Try to be concise but descriptive in the subject line.
- Try to be descriptive in the body of the entry. Let people know what's special or unusual about the event and what types of photos they might look forward to seeing.
- Make sure to follow up by posting photos of the event in the appropriate folder. If the event is special enough to post in the calendar, it's special enough to show some pictures of it.
