I'll bet nobody here can guess why they named this Horsetail Falls. Just north of Multnomah Falls there's a 30 mile or so scenic loop which was part of the old highway before the freeway was built. This scenic loop hosts about a dozen waterfalls including this one. I shot this one just this past spring sometime. Nikon D200, Nikkor 20mm, about 1-1/2 seconds Here's a link if it's not showing up for you; spiritsgate.smugmug.com/photos/533794785_GjCfj-L.jpg

I can't wait to see the picture. The loop sounds like just the place for me to visit. I love lots of bang for my hiking buck when it comes to waterfalls.

This was worth the wait...Beautiful waterfall, and I think you selected the perfect shutter speed for the water. Its so silky and soft. The best part of the picture is the backlit leaves from the tree in the foreground.

That is really pretty, Steve...Looks like the sun had just popped its rays out just right to make those leaves glow the waterflow even has sily glow!

Thanks. I should add that I gave it a bit of the Orton effect in Photoshop which is why the colors appear slightly diffused.
