The photo is one that I took at the weekend, first step into this type of photography, couldn't use the flash properly so all my photos came up dark I've lightened it somewhat. At the party there was a lady doing face painting. I like this photo. I welcome all comments and critiques of the photo as I want to learn to improve ;D Attachments:

I love that photo. I like photojournalistic shots of the setup of the event and the dynamic in that picture is perfect. Love how the adult had the girl's face in her hand and the little girl is perfectly natural in the way she's patiently taking the makeup. She's got a perfectly structured face and she looks like an angel in that shot.
The fact that it's a bit dark only adds to the genuineness of the image.

Cheers Orcabob that's given me a boost, was a bit disappointed with the light but now it doesn't seem so bad ;D

I second what Bob has said. I would also like to add that the lighting works very well in the picture. The shadows help draw the attention the the girl's face...which is right where it needs to be. The exposure on her face looks pretty much right on this monitor....but then again, I'm on the g/f's computer which isn't calibrated.
