So we're walking in the woods Sunday and as we are approaching the top of the ridge we hear a CLARINET! We are about 20 minutes into the woods. Walking in the direction of the sound we came upon an elderly gentleman playing his clarinet. I took his picture, he waved and we kept on going. Have no idea why he goes way up there. Didn't ask 'cause I didn't want to interrupt his playing. Attachments:

I'm sure its a creative process. There are no distractions, and there is a purity to the music in that setting. I bet that is his relaxation.

That's an interesting story and photo Jim. Thanks for sharing! I imagine he probably has several reasons for playing out there. Maybe sometimes he just likes to keep his music to him self.

Must be a no-distraction thing...I can relate-but through a camera...
But that would be actually pretty cool to come upon!!!
Nice photo Jim!

Thanks all, maybe he's just not allowed to play in the house anymore ;-)

Maybe he's serenading the wildlife. Ever see Never Cry Wolf?

It looks very peaceful and serene. I can just imagine what it was like hearing the music and following it through the trees. Nice image!
