She had a full-length freestanding mirror that I just had to try using. It took her a while to figure out when I told her to look at the camera it wasn't to turn her head completely around to look at the camera but to make eye-contact through the mirror. Once she got the hang of it it worked nicely for a range of shots. Attachments:

The mirror photos are very attractive images. It looks like you're using a harder light in this one... softbox or umbrella?

Neither. I used an 8" dish with a 30-degree grid spot. I wanted the light only on her and the mirror, so I put the mirror in the center of the room and then used a very directional light.
