Cautiously Emerging I did this photograph early in the spring, and it is still one of my favorites. The area where I photographed it was covered in a thick dew that really caught the back lighting well.

Thanks John! The favorite part of this image is the fact that the background is just a product of the existing lighting. I didn't put anything behind it, and there was no need in altering it in photoshop. Most of my black background images are courtesy of a black lens cloth held behind the subject. It is kind of like a mini-muslin. The material makes is non-reflective and perfect for isolating a bloom or flower.

That's cool Greg. The combination of color and dew drops really give this photo a lot of interesting things going on. Having an on-site background also helps.
