I first saw this site via Model Mayhem. Solid, up-to-date information for anyone interested in modeling. www.newmodels.com

A couple times a year we had an instructor from a modeling school come down and give a seminar on how to get into modeling. Basically the same thing that is on the site link you posted. We advertised it in the newspaper, $10.00 a head for prospective models, not moms or dads, and served coffee, tea, and soda. About 10% would have headshots or portfolio sessions done. Once we had a model from an agency come in a do the same thing.
Just a thought on how to increase income. It worked for me.

Interesting strategy, Jim. As for "no parents," I assume that means you didn't have any under-18 aspiring models sign up? It strikes me that under-18ers would be a significant portion of the market for that kind of primer course.
Or did I misunderstand your post, thinking you didn't allow moms or dads... Were you instead saying that you allowed them but didn't charge them?

Moms and Dads were free if they brought a kid, and no one under 18 was allowed without a parent or guardian. Many prospects were children. In fact one kid "Nick" went on to be pretty successful doing T.V. The modeling school didn't charge me. They saw it as potential students. Only the model from the agency came with a fee. Even so, it was great exposure for me. It worked, it was fun, I made some money, and I helped some people pursue their dream. Attachments:

That's really cool Jim!!! Sounds like this would be something worth pursuing.
